1.5 custom handle bar riser

I want to lower my bike 2 inches and was considering machining or purchasing 2" risers for the handle bars, along with the Soupys adjustable rear links. This would be for an 08 Busa

Does anyone here think that the risers made of a quality material, aluminum or steel would be a safety issue?

Please all and any thoughts would be appreciated

I have a friend of mines just got his done and he has had any problems with his. Mines is in the shop right now getting the samething done so i will let you know the results.

Two inch lower in the front, will give you trouble with the underside of the nose hitting the top of the fender.
I lowered mine 1 3/4" and blew the fender clean off last season.

It's now at about 1 1/4" with the pre-load at 3 lines showing.
So far no problems.
