I sat on a gxsr1 k saturday. I couldn't beleive how light she felt. She also felt so narrow.

With all of the upgrades to the 09 GSXR, it is definately a formidable bike, not that it wasn't before, but the new lighter weight and engine mods are friggin SWEET!!! I concur with previous post about the arm, but to each his/her own really. It looks awesome. I am going to stretch the "Angel" (My Busa) and look into getting the 2010 1K. Angel is probably going to turn into a trailer bike just for shows.

You can not really do much to the bike if you go by the rules in AMA. I know it is custom tuned on XXX racing fuel,cams degreed,head has been milled,lowered,and changed the gearing and maybe changed the air filter......

Went to go pick mine up today and the sales manager was not there, so maybe will get it tomorrow.. but when i was there i did see a 2010 1k sitting there. i might just see if i can have that instead of the 09. Its 2 tone black. Gloss and flat black panels.. SWEEET.

I know but according to the vin its a 10. Kinda why i was a little puzzled. When the manager show tomorrow i will be sure to ask him about it.

Yes it ticks when cold at idle! So does the busa too. More so then my 02. Its the thinner walls on the head and the exhaust pipes. You hear the valve train more and the exhaust pulses hitting the inside of the pipe! Runs pretty good. The brakes are great! Has more of a 750 feel then a 1k. But I am use to the size of the 02 1k being bigger. Be very careful...the 09 is a tank slapper under hard acceleration after hitting a bump. I never had one so bad before.

Mine was due to the wonderful roads we have here on 264. I was about to get run over by a truck merging into my lane. I jumped lane after making sure it was clear and got on it. I hit the speed bump on the highway...really they seem to be about that size. The road repair sections. And the front end got all out of sorts. I travel this same spot of road everyday and the 02 and busa have never done that. I have watched the gixxer.com board and others have said the same thing. It was the worst tank slapper I have ever had.
