08 vs. 09?

Does anyone know why the difference in weight specs? I have an 08 and the specs show that it is has a dry weight of 220kg (485lbs.) but the 09 shows that it has a dry wheight of 260kg (573lbs.). I didn't think that there were any real differences between the two years let alone this much added weight. Is this a type O or did they really add 40kg (88lbs.)?

P.S. It was 70 degrees today and I finally got her back out for a ride and it was great.

485 is probably the dry weight and 573 is the wet weight ready to ride. There was no change on the two models so how/where they messed up the figures, I don't know. The bikes are virtually identical except for the colors...

That's what I thought at first but these are both dry weights straight off of the offiical Suzuki Web site.

check out the specs brochure please it clearly states dry weight not curb or wet weight.

At the SUZUKI website in between 2008 and 2009 you will see the (2008 dry) and (2009 curb)
