08 Fuel pump question

Hey all trying to figure out if the white piece in the picture has a special direction it needs to be facing. I didnt get a good look at it before i pulled the old pump out and want to be sure if that little pointed side needs to face a certain direction before i put it back together.

P.S. Since i don't get on here to much anymore, traded my 06 for this 08

No. Just seat it centered. It should be flat on the filter just like it is.

Kinda what I figured, that's how I had it the first time, got into it to check a few things and figured id verify
