Buddies 03' Busa is on the fritz. Everything was fine and then last friday he got Chrome Cover Switches installed. Rode it all weekend and everything was fine. Monday he went out went to the gas station. Turned off the bike and got gas. Turned it back on the gauges went dead after sweeping very weirdly. We tried replacing the Cluster, ECU, Speedsensor. Checked the fuses. Now if you mess with certain things like the fuses or the battery ground cable going away from battery while the bike is off. His cluster will sweep and reset. Without the key on or anything. Now his battery is dead so something is pulling power obviously. We have been through almost everything and only thing I can think of is it is in the harness itself now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Easy, chrome switch covers. Either something is touching that shouldn't or something was put back wrong. It would be a huge coincidence for it to be anything else.

No HIDS in the bike. We had LED's running all over it. But unplugged them to diagnose. There is a short somewhere we just can't find it and have been through everything except the actual Harness.

Well finally after switching everything on the bike. Fuel Pump was causing the issue. Now to find a decently priced fuel pump. Weird though as the fuel pump never malfunctioned at all. yet was the reason for everything.

just curious how you came up with the fuel pump as culprit?

We changed everything one at a time from a donor bike. Double checked our stock parts to the donor. Everything worked but the fuel pump.
