New Busa Problems

This is my first Busa. I am new to the platform. I have about 250 miles on it and just installed slip ons. I took it past 5k for the first time today and it seems to cut out. Felt as if it was loosing fuel and sputtering. I can't honestly tell you if it did it before the slip on. Any help would be appreciated. I can not seem to find anything in the forums telling me what the problem is.

Take it straight back to the dealer. It should be under warranty. Slip on of any kind should not cause that problem.

Will do. It just runs so good a low rpms and cruising. I have owned about 15 different bikes and have never experienced this type of problem. Ill take it back this week.

I understand that he is correct, but just want to make sure I understand exactly what is going on. I like to be very knowledgable on every platform that I own. The dealer warranty will be gone one day and I want to be able to utilize the forum in case of BS from the dealer.

To the dealer my friend. These things are trouble free. Probably something simple and they'll get it squared away. Slip-Ons aren't the issue.

Usually when bikes run fine on the bottom end and have issues going above a certain RPM it has to do with fuel or ignition. But it could be anything. Basic troubleshooting is fuel, spark,, air, electrical, mechanical in that order. When they figure it out make sure they explain what the problem was. You also should get a copy of the shop manual and read read read. Search this forum and there are links to e-copies of the manuals.
