    Should I adjust my valves?

No doubt. I've maybe redlined it twice since I've owned the bike (bought it new) and rarely ever get above 5k rpms.

    Should I adjust my valves?

I don't know, the numbers don't lie. Maybe my bike is getting newer with age?

    Should I adjust my valves?

I posted this under under the technical section but got only one response. I think I saw a few dust bunnies while I was in there.... Well I was convinced that this winter I would have to adjust my valves - my bike has 28k miles on it and last spring when i checked they were getting close to the...

    Should I adjust my valves?

Well I was convinced that this winter I would have to adjust my valves - my bike has 28k miles on it and last spring when i checked they were getting close to the loose end of tolerances. So today I took her apart and checked the clearances. Here's what I found: 5 exhaust valves at .305mm...

Help - Vibration on the Busa

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention. Since it vibrates when I engine brake (no throttle), could that rule out the throttle valves? Since they are closed at that point and all. That just hit me this morning.

Help - Vibration on the Busa

FWIW - I pulled the fairings off and did all the easy checks. No obvious loose mounts or anything. I also pulled the airbox and am proceeding to check the valves while I'm at it. This may be normal, but I noticed that when in neutral (and stopped), there is SLIGHTLY less vibration and overall...

Help - Vibration on the Busa

Yeah you got me on the valves there When I get off work today I'll yank the bodywork and start trying to trace down the obvious. It'd be nice it if was just a motor mount or something like that. Whatever it is I can rule out the transmission or wheels because it happens if I rev the engine...

Help - Vibration on the Busa

I'll have to try and investigate that this weekend. I was looking in my service manual and see that it requires this goofy little tool - do you know what they run? I'll call the dealer today to see if I can get one cheaper than actually taking the whole bike in and having them do it (I'm...

Help - Vibration on the Busa

It only does it at while at 3k+ RPMs doesn't matter whether it's moving or not.

Help - Vibration on the Busa

Background - my bike (2002 Hayabusa) is 100% stock and has about 25k miles on it. All those miles were put on by me. So about 1000 miles ago I thought I noticed a slight vibration on my bike. It was barely noticeable and I figured it was me being overly paranoid. In the last couple hundred...

350 miles on a PLUGGED tire

Dude this whole thread is like deja vu. Just this week I was on a 2000 mile road trip in the virginia mountains on a brand new rear tire (which I replaced because I had a roofing nail in the original) and a couple days into the trip I found a 3" finishing nail in my rear. Luckily my dad had...

    Hayabusa dream abandoned :(

Dude, the number one complaint I've been reading about all these new bikes is their digital gauges (and crappy mirrors). I've had them and they're a pain. They seem cool in theory but there's no abscissa to correlate the numbers to. The speedo just jumps around as a whole bunch of blurry numbers...

7 mile & Haggarty Magna Corp, who are the 2 guys ?

I think I've seen a busa down there before.  I work at 8 & Haggerty with a 2002LE.  So I'm of no help but I'm only a mile away.
