Are you able to separately order end caps, rivets/bands, and mounting brackets? I took some damage to my left side RS-3, and am hoping to rivet on new caps. And if the price is right, get new mounting brackets for both sides (the plastic/silicone has degraded a bit as it's been on the bike for...

I find I get less knocking on mine with 89... '04 w/PC3 + slipons. Same thing on my '94 Katana, hate paying extra for it. Maybe we just have crap gas around here?

If you can afford it it's almost worth buying a cheap impact wrench just for the front sprocket. Last time I did my Katana, had to jump up and down on a breaker bar while someone was sitting on the rear, and even then it barely came off. Haven't had to replace the chain on the Busa just yet...

Disagree :) A2DP with the right codec can sound very good. Depending on the device it can stream using MPEG-4, AAC, or others. It's all re-compressed so I wouldn't use it with a nice home stereo, but in my car I can't tell the difference between music over Bluetooth and a direct cable...

I've been using my SMH10 with the earbud compatible base (not speakers), and sound quality is *still* lacking over bluetooth. Really hope they fix this in the future with a firmware upgrade. I stream over bluetooth to my car stereo and it sounds perfect, there is no excuse for a high end headset...

I have an '04LE with a black gel seat on, definitely like the color match w/the frame, wheels, and dash. Have to go with #3, the white and silver look out of place to me on the others.

I live across the lake from you... realistically it's only too cold/wet to ride no more than half the time, and usually not more than a few days in a row. Just take her out for a spin every couple of days, and leave her on the battery tender if it's more than 2 or 3 :) That's what I do at least...

Got my 2XL Red RPM yesterday, haven't taken it out yet but first impressions are positive - it is on the heavy side, but I'm pretty big and don't notice it. Fit and finish is excellent, however I noticed that the "Speed" and "RPM" labels on the back are backwards from the gauges on the sides :)

These: Icon Accelerant Waterproof Boots - Street Bike - Motorcycle Superstore I'm not a fan of super high boots for every day riding, and these are waterproof but (at least in Seattle summers) don't get too hot when it's warm out. They're holding up really well too, compared to others I've had.

Two quick questions: 1) How hot does the rectifier get under load? I've been rewiring my alarm (didn't like how the previous owner had it), and behind the rectifier is a convenient place to put the starter cutoff relay. But I wouldn't want heat to cause the relay to fail - I need to check...
