Yep, make sure its certified, then find the best fit. Its just to bad you can't test them for wind noise first. I have the HJC AC-12 carbon fiber helmet, nice and light but on the busa it puts a small air stream right under the chin and into my eyes. Fixed it with a mesh chin piece that came...
I Just put a tomahawk on to replace the original rear tire (5Kmiles on that one.) at the beginning of the month. Then this Monday I ran up over the Beartooth Highway. I was on my own so I was really able to dig in and get a feel for the tire without having to wait for anyone or having a...
Agreed to most all above. Benjamin Moore is a quality paint to use. Only get a sprayer if you have someone to show you how to use it, and spend some time taping things off that don't get painted(that blue tape is good only for a couple days before it starts to get hard to get off, so don't...
I agree full dress is the way to go. However, Sometimes I just feel like going on a leisurely cruise and skip out on the basics. + there are no helmet laws in Montana "yet" and it can be really nice to get out on the back roads with my honey and just loose the lid. It's really nice till the bugs...
Just giving a shout out to any one in southwest Montana. I have a few friends with 600's but I am wondering where the busas are? I ride mostly with my dad and his Blackbird, need some more enthusiasts. But nothing wrong with flying solo. aka. less chance of doing something dumb. happens with the...
Ok. maybe I'm still a little new, but I have a 07busa with 5k on it and I can get smoother shifts under moderate to heavy acceleration going clutchless all the way up, but not if I'm going slow. Can downshift ok to. Its all in the timing. I have not tried "powershifting" yet. If I ever get a...
That bights. Could be the octane or the brand of fuel. Does it start hard or quit out? It may sound silly but I was down at my local mechanics last fall with car trouble and he pointed out that I could have water in my gas. He had just serviced a ladies car that stopped running after filling it...
I'm looking to push the envelope. Any advice on how to get around the rev limiter? I got the bike last fall and haven't done much to it yet but ill get there sooner or later. the list keeps growing.
Tank bags are great. I have A River Road an it came with straps for the tank but I like the magnetic base more. The big bag also comes with backpack straps. I have a tank bra and it interferes with the bags a little. Upgraded to the double bubble and seeing the speedo is not a problem unless I'm...
Wow there is some nice cars out there. I've hit 135 in my 89Saab 9000. that was a little skidish, but not as bad as 145 in a 95 Mazda millenia, it has a pretty soft suspension. But now its all on the busa.
Safe travels, and remember to keep it between the ditches.
Good idea with the hair dryer. I took all my stickers off (including the Suzuki sticker front and rear, also the logo on the tank) one sunny afternoon when i was getting ready to wash my baby down. Cleaned up nice with with a little wax after. Looks much sharper. Good luck.
