Spend $1000 on what????? Need your input

Stupid question but is your bike paid off? If not than that is where the $1,000 belongs.

Touring busa ideas for 2nd gen.

Hello, Wondering if anyone has ideas on the following parts to keep a land yacht out of my garage (Goldwing GL1800). I made my first mistake by jumping on a Goldwing, joking around, at MotoGP weekend last year. My wife jumped on and I've herd nothing but you should get one of those as your...

    Owners of Alpinestar boots...

I wear a 10.5 also had have S-MX & S-MX2 boots in size 44. Cant go wrong with them. Great product and if you have a wide foot its about the only product on the market that will fit correctly.

Just Did My 600 Mile Service! Observation!

I personally wouldn't change over to full synthetic until the 10K mark. You are not going to benefit anything from it anyways. I'd allow the motor to full break in. If you change over too soon the additional benefits of synthetic will prevent the motor from proper break in. It will result in a...

oil leak after winterizing 2010 busa

Best winterizing method is to move someplace warm like California.

What Did You Get For Christmas?

Saw the heated motorcycle gear at Cyclegear the other day when I was in there with my fiancee. I pointed it out but told her it was a little too expensive for me this time of year. She ended up getting me the rider and passenger adjustable Thermostat  I know I have a keeper!

    How many watts...

I'm also curious about this. I'd like to eventually put on heated grips, gear for 2 riders, radar detector & GPS. Has anyone else had problems with the charging system on the genII? Will I be able to get all of this on the bike without causing any electrical problems with the charging system...

Munchie's Down - Totalled my Gen II - Old lady got me

If your mechanically inclined I'd say fix it. Keep an eye out on parts. If you just want to ride scrap it and get a new one/used one. You should get a letter from a 'expert' in regards to the gear. I WOULD NOT allow any insurance or other person to tell me that the gear can be fixed. I would NOT...

    Yuba River South Fork

49 is a fun road! I've had that whole stretch to myself with the exception of some college buddies following behind me. I'd recommend taking it slow the first few times to get familiar with the road.

    Hayabusa

Hello. I've been lurking around the forum for a few months. This past weekend I went and test road the BMW S1000RR. What a machine! The suspension was far superior than my GSXR 600. I've been riding a lot the past few years and so far logged 16,000 on my bike so far. I should be around 28,000...

    Extra Fuel

I just got done reading the thread about a member building a new trunk for the GenII. It got me thinking... with the amount that I use the storage under the rear passenger seat of my bike I dont really need that much storage. Just enough for registration paperwork and the tool kit. What I'd much...

    trailer alternative

How often do you plan on transporting the bike? I think a truck would be a much better vehicle to have if you plan on taking the bike long distances. Might consider it. Otherwise go for a trailer like the guys above have posted. There would be no way I'd even consider slinging a busa on a hitch...

    Daily riding boots?

I also have the Alplinestar S-MX 2 boots. They are by far the best piece of gear that I have. Saying a lot with the Dainese leather jacket & X-11 I also have. The boots slide on easy and seem to provide quite a bit of protection. A little on the expensive side but worth every penny.

Keepin it in the "family" lol

Nice of you to ride in cold weather for her.... way to take one or the team. Also good choice on a beginner bike. She will get many years of enjoyment out of it. They are also cheep to replace parts on with it being a naked bike!
