Having own both bikes the 08 busa is better in turns of comfort they are about the same but power, stopping, engine smoothest no contest. The only draw back is weight from the heavy pipes(brock pipe will help only 8-10 pounds). Grade A-
Note from Greg: Someone is going to send me there dyno files, but he told me today he made a 4th gear pull to 11K actual (12K on the tach) and a 5th gear pull exactly the same as 4th, so this means the typical 123455 mod I do should work just fine to de-restrict.

168 hp seem a little low 175-180 hp sounds about right. Vic with the proper set up should go 9.00s. At Rockingham with brock riding he went 9.20s and Lee went 9.10s testing with 1 tooth down on the rear sprocket. Vic should be able to match Lees time.
Yes Mr Bogus...but if you are drag racing other factors come in to play like bike set up and skills comes in to play more than just hitting from a roll on at different rpms or gears.
The zx12 and zx14 are a nightmare to work on and believe they would sell more unit if they should be more friendly to work on. The Mono frame is one part of the problem.
