Are you aware of the symptoms of the recall? The master would sporadically leak but under changing conditions seal back up. The brake would be firm and then all of a sudden completely failed, and would recover at some point. If you had not experienced a failure then the recall fix you got was merely proactive and it would not be a surprise that the feel is the same.
What feel are you used to? The gen 2 brake feel is ambiguous and can go all the way to the bar for maximum power. I think the gen three has the B-King master cylinder. That may not have had as many complaints but for sure the Brembo has a more firm feel, more like a sport bike should. There are two Brembo RCS 19 master cylinders, the Corsa Corta version having an additional feel adjustment, "corsa corta" meaning "short travel."
