The sad part of all this is if there is any performance enhancement, it would be a really hard thing to measure.

Kawasaki adds ram air hp to their numbers as they test in a wind tunnel...I think their ram air added 7-8 RWHP to the ZX14R if I'm not mistaken and that's without a cool little 'dohickis" like this will be.

Where in Aus are you?. Several members on this board have a Gen 2 and could be within distance.

Definitely liking the idea

So I've spent last night pondering what style would be nice but effective, I still havnt made a solid decision yet and I would like to know for you guys, what kind of styles do YOU have in mind, eceryone has a different taste, and I'd like to hear and see what your thinking of, if you can sketch it pop it up for me. Just remember, with 3d printing the possibility are endless, for the current time im printing a set of just straight out carpenter styles to check my measurements and compare them with the outlines of the body as to gain some sort of reference in my cad program. Current print time for a basic set at low quality is 16 hours per set

Maybe a nice contour on the top, meaning more rounded. Following the heavy lines the sig/screen holder already has.

tube 2.png

Give it a rounded front and rounded top ^

"Theirs" looks like some sort of vacuum cleaner nozzle, all square.

Perhaps have the left edge (red line) stick out further...
Have the right edge (green line) stick out less.

Excuse my crude drawing...top view showing mirrors for reference...NOT to scale...LOL.
It might be cool when looking down on them if the front of the tubes followed the contours of the nose...shown in green..and not stick out square and "boxy" like the red.
Just thoughts bro...IDK shi7...I'm the marketing department...NOT R&D.

Less material used left side, following the line/contour of the turn sig (green)
More material to follow the contour of the intake/signal enclosure (black)

Hi all,
New to Hayabusa, but very eager...I want to learn about some of the body fairing customization I have seen specifically about the side light (front and rear) body work being or appearing filled in , smoothed out from the stock body sculpting. Are these faring parts that have to be made custoom or are they availabel through some after market shop before I get into custom painting..? Many thanks for the eductaion.
Cheers
Mark

Hey Mark,:welcome: to the Org. Where in BC are you? There are a few BC boyz on the site. I am not aware of any companies that manufacture the goods you are after. I was not in love with some of the bulbous lines of the Gen II but it has grown on me. Somebody with bodywork skills could easily shave off the lumps and bumps especially on the Gen II tail. I contemplated it at one point.
Pics of yer ride,a little bit about yourself etc...always welcome,

Hi Is there a way to find out more air they flow, and do thy make a higher pressure in the air box? Not for me as I do not have ram air on my busa.
