Neither a lender or a borrower shall I be.

One thing I have learned is that you give anyone money if you aren't willing to gift it, don't do it.

Neither borrower nor lender be, for loan oft loses itself and friend.

Saiid, you know me and I say it like it is but.....you ready.....here it comes......

Even with all of those toy guns, you aren't very intimidating....

I'm sorry, but I had to and I know you all are thinking the same thing!

Now back to Brian.

It's the green shirt isn't it? Dang it all! I knew I should have worn red. :banghead:

Or so he said? All he talked about was being back together with his daughter? If he's in Thailand who's watching the daughter? Last I remember he told me on the phone he was thinking about going back to NC from Mo. This was after the sale of 'Ripley'.

Brian I'm surprised, no I'm shocked this be you?

I am not shocked at all, If you had ever met him in person you could read right thru him. Had con man wrote all over him. And he knows that is what I think of him. I would never trust him.

not sure exactly but think it was on one of his old posts... and surprisingly, he's probably living off the good will of some woman there that is getting .10 on the dollar of pleasure she thought she was going to get

That is how he got his bike and his wheels and all, Was because a girl from over there bought it for him...

I learned a long time ago not to "lend" people money and expect it back. When I lend out money I usually do so with full intention of not getting it back. I have stopped giving to homeless, "friends" in need, etc.... only if its a very close friend and hes in a really bad spot will I give him money to help out

Do you have his parents information? I sold him the wheels on the bike and should have their home address, no parent likes to hear from their kids debtors..

Nobody just drops off the map. Unless your an accomplished criminal your gonna wind up using a debit card, making a call or giving up your location one way or another.
This is where the legal system comes in because they have access to things we don't.
I bet the average P.I could find him in a day.

Heck gimme a minute I'm gonna call a good friend of mine and get this taken care of.
His name is....
Dog-The-Bounty-Hunter.jpg

And once they've got him they'll give him a cigarette, some water, a life lesson and then hugs all around as they release him to your custody.

Dang dude, sorry you got taken advantage of. That's why I don't lend anything. I will give money/parts away but never lend. Lending can screw over friends quickly.

I don't know Brian, have not met him in person, did have a telephone conversation with him once and he borrowed a ramp which he picked up from wifey and returned promptly. What I know is what I read here on the forum, as he is one of us.

I guess I look at life differently to most here.

It is easy to get credit here in the US and if a person gets to the stage where they can no longer pay bills, their credit cards are maxed out they will have bad credit. So if someone has to resort to lending money from a brother, it means they have bad credit. People with bad credit don't pay their bills. There are millions like Brian, they can't pay back, they have bad credit. There should be no surprise here.

In short, if a friend lends money from me, provided he is a friend, I give what I can afford and don't expect anything back, don't expect promises to be delivered either because I know he is trouble. Who knows, maybe one day life kicks me in the butt as well.

This is what I know:

1.) The poor guy went through a terrible divorce.
2.) He followed a girl to Thailand and that did not work out.
3.) He moved to be close to his daugher.
4.) He could not afford to keep his Busa, he had to sell what he really liked.
5.) Now he is flat broke, cannot pay his debts.
6.) The poor guy is down flat on the ground.

The next thing he will come back here and find out he has been rejected. Another kick in the butt. When life gets tough, the tough gets going. I don't se Brian as one of the tough, he is down. Poor guy.

I just don't like kicking a person who is down and out, don't function that way.
In short I have the choice to associate with whom I choose, but I don't judge anyone.

red i am so sorry to hear this. after reading who it was i have to let you know that I got an email from someone that told me that he hit the guy until he had a skull fracture. i have never seen the email address and thought the person was an idiot. If this was you i am very sorry. I hope that charges were pressed for the skull fracture. I sincerely hope that it was not you that endured this violence. if you all need a place to stay on your hunt house is open. JUST KIDDING don't get yourselves in trouble. it isn't worth it, if he's in Thailand they'll certainly take care of it over there.

Red i hope everything turns out ok. you be safe and chalk it up as experience not needed... again i am so sorry to hear this.

I don't like kicking a person who's down and out, either. I think if he should at least let me know what's going on, I would have understood. If he told me something like, "I won't be able to pay you in the next 5 years or so", I would have understood. At least I know. The thing is he stopped communicating. He has my cell number, home address, he can PM me on here and I think he also has my e-mail address.

I didn't even know he left for Thailand. Next thing I know, he's gone. That's another part that I didn't appreciate. I'm a very understanding person. I'm sure you've noticed that I kept my cool for more than a year. That's not easy for some of us. Like what I've said, at least keep in touch.

Good sediments, but like you said, you never met him. Macon has him pegged perfectly.
