Im not dense I was merely just saying that if they did not fit and could not return them another proper set could be bought  Relax no need to characterize me there buddy. They are levers and nothing to get so tense over. He could have merely bought from the wrong seller which is what I meant buy buying another set. Find a different seller. Who knows, All the levers on ebay may not come from the same factory. Too many factors you or I do not know. I looked through feedback to find any negative feedback about fitment before I bought from my seller, maybe he did not.

Only about $50 more if he decides to buy another set and hopefully they fit. And you would be buying them from a sponsor which in turn helps keep the lights on here.

Personally if I bought a part that would not fit correctly and the company wouldn't replace it, I wouldn't spend MORE money with them.

To the OP contact the business first and see if they will replace it. If not sand the perch on the lever. Do not file or sand the mount or pry it open.

Good way to break something.

That is designed not to flex, and aluminum castings do not give without breaking

+1000 IF it doesn't fit then you must acquit  seriously though don't try spreading it open aluminum breaks and cracks before it bends:laugh:

I think this is a situation that shows a generation gap in bikers....

today, you buy a high priced part and it fits exactly without any hitches what-so-ever. This was not always the case, and anyone that has experience with 70's, 80's and even 90's bikes and performance parts will not be alarmed that a new part has to be filed to fit.

please do not panic, do not let the "if it's not expensive, it sucks" group of naysayers get you down.

First: call or email customer service, and make sure you have the correct levers. Mistakes happen, and maybe you have the wrong ones....also they may tell you how to fix the problem.

second: compare them to the originals, take a micrometer and measure the thickness of the two levers and file down the new ones. the important part is the pivot point and how well that fits the nut, not the thickness of the perch/housing.

PS: I see lots of chrome on your bike, perhaps your current lever were already filed to fit due to the tighter clearances of the chrome perch.....they should not have much wiggle room.

I'd bet that the chrome plating is just enough to make the lever perch too thick. If I were you, I would take a Dremel to the levers at a slow speed and take your time to get them to fit properly.

Levers look nice as well, let us know how it goes.

Boy wouldnt that be funny if it was the chrome keeping it from fitting properly and the haters that jumped at the gun so quick end up looking not so good

I ordered a set about a week ago and have not gotten mine yet. Although, I know what I paid for them and am perfectly happy that they do not say Pazzo on them, because I did not want to pay for the name.

I will be perfectly happy with the Chinese knock offs, even if I have to file them down a bit. To each their own, and I do not care what people think about the things I pay for, because I am paying for them, not them.

I would bet this is going to be your problem. The tolerences are minimal but will be enough to affect a precision fit. The cheaper levers may have a very very slight difference but the chrome plating on the perch/mounts is making them too tight. If you have ever powdercoated parts that fit together snug or precise prior to powdercaoting then you know what I'm talking about. Chrome plating is no different, probably even worse. I would suggest being very very careful and dremmel the chrome area slightly to get the tolerance back. But only if it is real close to fitting now and only if the levers will cover the affected area. Otherwise, send them back or sell them to someone for close to what you got in them. Maybe borrow another brand (pazzo,FP, Vortex) from somebody just to see if they will fit first.
Keep us posted! I am thinking of buying a set of somekind. Not sure if I'm going chinese, or FP sport yet. good luck

The chromed perch IS the problem. Average chrome thickness ranges between .002 and .020 . That is roughly between thinner than a sheet of paper, to as thick as 2 soda can walls, and that must be doubled as that thickness is on the inside top and bottom of the perch. Every aftermarket lever I have ever seen(including my 9 month old chinese levers) fits much tighter and better than the more sloppy fitting stockers. So you have a quality fitting lever. A good flat hand file on the lever will solve your problem. Do not try to pry the perch, the casting won't give, it will break. Do not file inside the perch either, if you do the chrome will begin to flake from that area and spread.

I love the people who say you get what you pay for.. You cannot generalize ALL MOTORCYCLE PARTS, or even motorcycles themselves with that blanket statement....

Think Harley Davidson's engine build quality and longevity is as good as your "cheap" Japanese hayabusa? HA!

you still dont get it. even warbird had to do a little work to make his levers work. cheap people have cheap ways, nothing wrong with that, but if you wanna have imitation this and look alike that, disguise it under well i cant afford it. if you cant afford $100 to buy real products maybe you should re-evaluate your finacial situation. there are plenty of levers out there that are not a direct copy from china for cheap. but keep your "fazzo" style. dont go changing. :beerchug:

Its one thing to not buy cheap chinese brake rotors.. but levers? Cmon.. its not a big freaking deal. Not everyone buys the cereal in boxes either, but I wont hate on them or even deny that its the same. I like my cap'n crunch..but if they like "colonel krunk" or whatever, thats cool too.
