SoCal Easter Ride

(Im horrible with names so bear with me)

So hopped the bus and met up with Lamb, Adam, and Jim 5 mins late because the starbucks that they were at is not on the map..... anywho.

We jump up the 15 and take a road, something Valley road, That road is the damn devil. 15mph blind upside down backwards switchbacks all over the place.. fun though . We went all over the place then ended up coming up the fast side of palomar... first time for me and that was rather fun. Went down the other side. Lamb was right when he said it was humbling.. holy cow.. anywho went down and met back up with Lamb, then came righ back up it... then back down it. On the way back down there was a Black Gen I busa 2 up and a kawi that, I guess, was trying to keep up, low sided right in front of Lamb with me right behind him. We stopped and he was just a little shaken up and his bike was rideable. so off we go.

We go to a casino(can't remember the name) and eat.. I couldn't fit 14 bucks worth of buffet in my stomach.... . Then we head for borrego i think. play around in there.


All day 1 cop, 277 miles logged (on my bike) and another perma grin.

I had a ram mount setup on the back of my bike that is pashnit inspired and recorded 90% (filled up @ the last run through banner grade) in 720p @ 60fps. I caught the kawi and will post it later but I have been putting off some school work that needs to happen like now so ill keep ya posted

The ride into Palormar is the tight side and the back side is the fast side going into the lake, great riding and I am glad you did not run into a lot of Poo-Poo.

Damn Keven, you really did lock em up getting that baby slowed down. The crash was the classic wash out/ front end tuck.

Not only is Palomar mountain humbling, which it is, but some things just make you wanna........................well, they make you wanna.......................they make you wanna scream! Here's how it goes!

Lamb: Lamb has been riding this road since 1986.
Skaz: I was 2!
Lamb: Look of horror while fighting off the urge to jump up and down and up and down stamping his feet on the ground.
Retelling the story at lunch with Skaz's response and all and hearing........................I was 1 from the other rider in the group! UUUGH! #&%^@!

I wish I could have made it down there like I had planned to. Sounds like it was a good time down there, and I missed out on the pie. I know there was pie if you guys went to Julian! I hope to make it down there next time I am here for the weekend.

Was his second trip up (we had gone up the week before too) with no issues and he was on the same (borrowed) bike. He thinks he chopped the throttle when he scraped the peg which in turn unloaded/unsettled the bike at a pretty decent lean angle and the rest is history...

He's a lil sore but his pride is hurt the worst.

Anyway, thanks again.

Was his second trip up (we had gone up the week before too) with no issues and he was on the same (borrowed) bike. He thinks he chopped the throttle when he scraped the peg which in turn unloaded/unsettled the bike at a pretty decent lean angle and the rest is history...

Lamb had a pretty good look at it. He was on some extreme lean angle and the front just lost traction. It wouldn't be surprising if he did chop the throttle just a tad. Doesn't take much at the lean angle he was riding. Amazing tough that bike though. It looked like he was going to be able to get it home. left side peg was there. It didn't look like it was leaking oil. Did he make it home?
