Well said!

I dunno. That thing looks like something a dominatrix would wear.

Don't ask me how I know how... to spell dominatrix.

That things a flimsy plastic bra. I "crash tested" mine.

Its better than your Friday Night Fun Bra. :poke:

I had a Teknic back protector on when I wrecked the 04. I slid over a rock the size of a small orange and I didn't even feel it. One of the plates on the lower back cracked. Didn't even bruise me.

Tim, I have a back protector for the track but I am thinking along the same lines as you. The one at the top of this page looks schweet.

That and how to mount twin sawed off 10 gauges in my fairing for those..... road obstructions out there....

I wear the Alpinestars Bionic armor. It has the back, chest, shoulders, & elbows + kidney belt. I had my leathers custom made to fit it. I always ride w/ it. It has been through 2 low sides & 1 high side.

How much extra room do I need. I like this chest protector.

My leathers were very snug when i bought them, never thinking i'd want protectors (until I found out that you have to have a back protector to get into intermediate with STT). With a full chest/back protector, I can't zip them up. I'd suspect 1 size larger MINIMUM (but I'm sure some of our respected track junkies can better explain).

I haven't showered with them yet to see if I can stretch them - i reallllly just need to step away from the food plate...

1 size larger (from a snug fit) for the front and back protector was OK for me.

LINKY!

You may want to check in with this guy before making your decision to buy an off the shelf protector. All our race crew wears this back/chest protection. It's all hand made to order and the guy makes them himself. It's custom fit to YOU! He keeps your pattern on file and can make you a replacement if necessary at a moments notice.

There are many well known professional riders who wear his custom fit protection such as Nicky Haden, Colin Edwards and the list goes on. I wear the same protection that Nicky Haden wears and if it's good enough for Nicky it's good enough for me.

The cost is a little more than off the shelf stuff but for me, it's worth every penny. It comes with your name on it which keeps it from walking off at the track. Give the website a peek and give the Good Ole Boy in Texas a call. He is funny as hell and a real treat to talk to. You won't be disappointed with his product. Oh by the way, both the back and chest protector form fits to your body when it gets warm from body heat. Very comfy. We have had numerous crashes with this stuff and no injuries to the torso.
