Dyoned the Busa an hour ago

I had the Pumpkin dynoed not too long ago and thought I would share it with my Busa kin. It made 171.73 with a full Muzzy exhaust and no PC3. If you look at the fuel curve, that thing is pretty spot on. While I still plan to get a PC3 it is really low, low, low on my must acquire list. On the other hand, a Nitrous kit will be ordered at the end of the month. The bike hit the rev limiter at 11,000 rpm, which was also 187 mph. I have a TRE installed, but I guess unless I change the rear sprocket and go down a tooth or two in the rear, this is pretty much all she can do. Feel free to chime in fellas.

Looks good, but why did they dyno going through each gear? It looks like you made the most power in 5th running 13.2:1 AFR.

Actually that was where the rev limiter cut in at 11k once the bike got to 187, go figure. I guess no matter what the TRE does, the rev limiter has the final say.

That speedo number must be off. A few people have derestricted their bikes and have gone mid-190's(gps verified) stock. A Brocks sponsered 08 Busa went over 200mph in the maxton mile with stock gearing.

So you're saying stock the new busa is geared for 187 at redline in 6th? The first gen busa and 14 are geared for 200 (actually a bit over) at redline in 6th......of course they won't pull that stock. I think gearing for 187 is much more realistic........but I also think your tire was slightly slipping on the dyno, very common.

he said he was going back to get it tuned on pc3. imguessing he wants base numbers, before his pc3 and nitrous he mentioned.

First dyno's can be off a little from one to another. I dynoed my pumpkin when I was down philly for the filming of clutch control for the show superbikes on speed. The only mods I did where pipercross air filter, powercommander, with M4 slipon map, I also have my stock cans from my 02 that I drilled out, and also drilled out the cat in the stock head pipe. Please don't ever do this because it is a real pain in the butt. Anyway I got 188.6. I think is a little high. Going to dyno it local to see how much difference, and before I put full pipe on it.:beerchug:
