Won't go past 7500 rpm HELP

Had this happen on my motion 396 @ big revs!

I can't be sure if it was pressure or a vacuum, but it only occurred with the bad fuel pump. By the way, I was always taught that there were no dumb questions, only dumb listeners.

Easy way to check, open the fuel cap and rev the engine up

YEA..!!!!!!!!!!!!! Found it, It was the kichstand lever switch. It would short out when the high rpms would vribrate just right. and cause it to shut down then when lower rpms it would be normal. i bypassed it and works great. everytime... Thanks again guys =)
