MotoGP 2024

Seems Fabio's tire pressure was too low and he loses the podium (dropped to 6th) to Pedrosa now. Ugly fender and all!

Carnage ! Weepers eh ? Did wonder why the those particular crashes happened..As for tyre pressure issues Mr Tubby (michelin) needs to sort that out as teams have enough s#it going on trying to set up their missiles.

850s for 2027 with reduced aero and a ban on ride height devices - interesting times coming.

Yeah, remember 500cc two strokes? Aeros? Kinda hard to believe that rear ‘spoiler’ or whatever it’s called actually does anything anyway. As for the ride height device, it’s only used for launches right?

How many crashed out? Nearly half the field! The three in a row looked like all three hit an oil slick and fell like dominos. And Fabio Q on the podium? On a Yamaha? From 23rd? He and Acosta were gifted 5-6 positions due to the carnage ahead of them. Of course MM crashed too. Started on pole and crashed, Fabio started 23rd and finished 3rd. What a race…

Ride height and 'shapeshifters' cant remember if theyre the same - when they exit the corner and the bike squats super low.

Most of those crashes due to water weeping up thru the asphalt like one lap its dry the next theres a damp patch thats what caught them out Marquez included nothing to do with going banzai or balls out..Fabio lost 3rd cause his tyre pressure to low as bigoltool posted ^^^^^^^

Cracking race for sure Pecco's pass at near the start of the race sensational NO ONE saw that coming !

Bags did a great job on the 24 Ducati holding off Marc with an awesome Fast lap with 2 to go that finished off any hope Marquez had on a win.
The boys at Ducati (all of the Factory teams honestly) have some tough decisions to make in short order. Martin has threatened repeatedly to leave for a Factory team, even though he is on a GP24 already, and has already told Pramac that he will not be back next year! Bastianini has had a quiet yet productive start to this season, will that be enough to keep his seat on the Factory team? Then there's Marc! If Ducati don't give him at the very least a current spec bike, someone else will! Several guys currently on satellite Ducati's and Aprilia's that may have to prove their worth very soon! Thats also assuming that Pramac remains with Ducati, Yamaha are heavily courting them, which could potentially hand Gresini or VR46 two factory Ducati's next season! So many possibilities, and now they have the test tomorrow, then 2 weeks to answer some, if not all of these questions before LeMans.

For a little perspective, Luca Marini last year signed a rather large multi year contract with Honda through next year, he currently has 0 points to show for it! Mir is not a lot better, but he at least has 12 points to show for his troubles. Morbidelli for me is the standout in this department, he is on a factory spec GP24 Ducati and has a whopping 6 points to show for it! The other 3 GP24's currently lead the points standings! If Honda writes a big enough Paycheck, would say Someone like Martin or Bastianini be tempted enough to take on that challenge? Money changes everything, just ask Quartararo! Were 4 races in and I am totally geeking out on this season!

When will they make it official, the MotoGP Ducati series? Let the other brands race themselves. Maybe BMW and Kawasaki would join in.
Some noise here about a possible BMW maybe when they change to 850s ?

Makes sense for BMW to try and keep pace with VW (Ducatis parent co.) in all things. But in order for them to come in, Liberty would need to broom an existing team. They may be able to buy an existing team like LCR to make that happen. Dorna has long said no more teams than what they have now.

WSBK is in a strange place right now. The Japanese are getting out of the liter bike business, even Kawasaki is handing their WSBK effort over to Bimota(Kawi powered). It may be an all European manufacturer series soon. Liberty will have to handle both series very carefully!

Marqez tried a thumb brake for the first time today at Davide Tardozzi's request, because all the factory guys are using them. Marc tried it but said he will still ride with the foot brake at LeMans.
