How do you clean a jacket. I have a Joe Rocket mesh jacket that needs to be washed. Do I need to take the pads out? Is there even a way to? I know to not dry it in the dryer.

i have a JR textile. I just pull the armor out, zip everything up and launder normally.

yes you can... take the pads out and wash it on gentle. Pretreat any stains or big bug splats with SHOUT (or something similar) Then hang it up to air dry.. like you said.. no dryer!

I put mine in the dryer every time I wash it. Never had any problems with it.

I've got a white ICON Merc jacket and it gets NASTY quick.

I don't use the dryer because God knows I don't need it to shrink!

yup!  pull the pads...  it's better if you have a front load washer

let is air dry...

Get you some Nikwax Tech Wash and Nikwax water repellant IF you want it waterproof then find a front loader machine! I never dry mine always put on a hanger and left alone... Looks like brand new when you get done! My Joe Rocket Meteor jacket is roughly six years old and still like new.
