Well I don't know about $22,000...I know it varies greatly dealer to dealer
but in central Fl I stopped by the BMW dealer (and this was like 3-4 years ago)
and the luxury touring model the sales guy told we was around $29,000.

Course you could probably horse trade a bit lower but I'm guessing with all the
new R&D and tech, you won't get one lower than the mid to UPPER 20s
and low 30s with all the bells and whistles wouldn't surprise me one bit.

My point is...the OLD full dress touring didn't compete pricewise with the
Goldwing, I bet the new one sure as heck wont...but it shouldn't be to bad
(not 55-65K).

Not so sure about that, but MAYBE :: !!! I got a quote for a K1200LT in Wichita several years ago for $23,000 with all the options (well not all, I didn't want the rear trunk refrig option ) ! Whatever, it really doesn't matter to me, because I'am not going to buy one anyway

Your probably right...msrp is 21,700. I know the guy told me 29 cause I almost
gagged, maybe it was a salesman game...see who can make the first guy
run for the door

The 1300GT is 19 and change and 22 for the "premium" package.

Hope the new bikes are close to affordable...

Beemer makes some great stuff. A friend of mine has the M5 car. It's an amazing machine on many levels, just as their bikes are.
