San Miguel Beer will have you stumbling much faster than domestic fare. If you want to pace yourself like American beer stick to San Mig light...
Big guys, don't expect to find any shirts in sizes larger than XL. People here are generally (very) small and thin. Anyone needing even an XL t-shirt is extraordinarily large for the populace.
Learn to be content with people approaching you to sell any number of things. My suggestion to repel them is to say "thanks but I don't need any "knock-off" watches/cialis/viagra. ???
After last night, I once again know that I do not need cialis or viagra since variety is an excellent substitute.
Having a young guy that is about 5'2" tall and about 100lbs approach you and say he will be your body guard when you are 6'4" 267lbs is a great way to have a laugh and will stop traffic to get you across the street.
Roxas boulevard (pronounced Rosas not rocksas) along the bay is a great place to get very sweaty and smell very foul (like the sewer) seawater while watching locals bathe near floating trash and debris of every type imaginable.
