A video of the 1989 Canadian round of WSBK. Watching this I am reminded just how far everything in road racing has came since then. The blurry "Sony Handicam" onboard that was cutting edge technology at the time. The helicopter "gyro cam" that looks like a small concrete mixer drum, but was also cool new stuff. The wiggling, flexing, break down prone bikes.. and the riders. They are all names in the history books now, some in bigger letters than others. One in particular would become a period superstar, another would go on to manage 2 of the greatest WSBK riders in history.
