Where to get air intake mesh grill?

I just saw the small black ram air duct intake mesh grill missing on the right intake of my 09 Busa. It couldn't have just fallen off or in. I looked for it all the way into the airbox, it's missing. I just had my bike for the rectifier recall, my first thought was the shop messed with it, but I don't know if the rectifier is next to the battery or somewhere else. Waiting to hear from the mechanic. In the meantime, I tried to order an OEM, but the grill doesn't sell on its own, you have to order an assembly for $70. I called like 10 salvage bike yards, none of them have it. Ebay doesn't have it either.

I thought about making my own, has anyone done this, where did you get the mesh? Home Depot? any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

By the way, my '08 didn't come with them. Gonna be pissed after three years if they're suppose to be there

Just made a complete set for my 2000 yesterday including all of the side vents. I just used gutter screen from a hardware store. They had either bare aluminum or black coated screen, I went with the black and it looks great on my black/grey bike.
