NY <long island> home of grumman, had a ton to do with the space program.

There were a lot of contractors. I think people were referring to a more direct connection.

For me, it would be great if it were in NY but I honestly feel Houston has more rights to it.

I think it should go to the Air Force Museum...

Well the shuttle is not an AF plane, plus IMO 2 shuttles in 1 place is a bit much.and they are moving that1 too

No but I believe the Air Force did a lot of testing and research before NACA and then later NASA was created.

It's also the Birth Place of Aviation so it makes sense to have one there. They also have a 4th hanger/building already planned so they wouldn't require large additional funding to house the Shuttle unlike the other locations that will have to build a place to park it...
