Holy moly!!

As a kid in the '80's BMX was big. Then I moved to Arizona and fell in love with mountain biking. Now I have a single-speed I ride around on flat routes. I also have an old bike on a stationary trainer in the garage for the winter season.
Hi. I am 76 work 10 hr a day. I cut back from 100 hr,s a week. Still riding hope to be able to ride in my 80's and race too.

*Update*-saw my care team last week and got clearance to move forward with getting my new shoulder hardware installed in May. I have a temporary anti-biotic spacer where my shoulder prosthesis was. Got cleared to do light weight in the gym but no chest/delts. Did 20mins fasted-cardio yesterday and light upper body/abs/quads/hams/calves. Heading to the Bahamas in 7wks so I'll concentrate on getting as lean as possible since I can't push any meaningful weight around yet. Feels good to be back,if only til May then I have to start all over yet again.

That starting over is hard to do.....

I used to live in the gym but concentrated on muscular strength verses bulk as bulk got in the way when we were on ops and it wasn't sustainable.

I still do that these days I do a lot of kinetic training although I'm no longer lean and mean like I once was.....

I had a hernia fixed 5 or 6 years ago.
I stopped working out about a month before the surgeory, for concerns of making it worse, then no workouts for 3 months after, only walking, which the Dr said to do as much of as possible, and I did....and it nearly drove me insane being otherwise inactive for so long.
Then being so easy for so long after trying not to reinjure the same spot(which is supposedly stronger now and thankfully gives me no problems).
I've had a few injuries over thd years too, and it always sucks losing your gains and working your way back to where you were...then trying to make gains again.
These days, I do lighter weights and sets to failure...and my joints really appreciate it.

I was thinking about mental health today. I work from home so the only people I see face to face are at the grocery store or in the gym. A majority of my social interactions are texts. The wife and I have the evenings.

I was in an off-road motorcycle club for a few years. That was wonderful. I don't think that there is anything better for the soul than doing spring trail maintenance with your buddies. Working as a team to move fallen tree limbs and enjoying the day. Miss that.

I loved clearing trails, did if for decades.
Now there's only about a quarter mile behind my parents house that I keep up, everywhere else has been sold or logged over the years.

Wow that’s my life almost exactly, minus the wife and I’m retired.
I suffered from a bad heart arrhythmia about 20 years ago. I had to go to New York where a specialist was able to repair it by performing an ablation. I had to take almost a year off from working out, the only time since I was in high school that I didn’t work out. That was a difficult year but I was surprised how fast everything came back afterwards.

I turn 59 next month. 5'9" / 160#. Cardio / lifting a few times a week.

Started taking naps about a year ago. I've been thinking about TRT.

I started having my testosterone checked during my physicals a decade or two ago. The doctor says my level is in the normal range.

Anyone have any experience with TRT? My buddy says it changed his life. I would like to be able to go all day consistently.

I’m taking 5 tablets a day and a Liraglutide injection every morning . . . Type 2 diabetes sucks.
But the meds are controlling my blood glucose pretty well, no more afternoon naps and way more energy, I even go work on bikes at least 6 hrs a day a few days a week lol
I’m 68 in 4 months, knocked off the drinking 8 years ago, lost 50lbs back then and kept it off too!
My feet have soreness after wearing boots and being on my feet all day.
My hands have stiffness and lumps growing on the tendons.
My facial nerves on the right side have caused some numbness but hey, it could be worse right?
It’s all diabetes caused damage… but the weird thing is my right eye has come back in to focus from myopia and the left eye has improved also, don’t need to wear glasses any longer!

I started taking T-Hero about 3 years ago, and will be 49 in May.
2 pills a day, no perscription, but you have to order it(various places sell it).
It really boosted my energy and workouts.
I also take Ostio-Biflex, Vitamin D, 10mg of creatine, Baking Soda, and a tablespoon of olive-oil nightly.
I feel Much better than without it.
I also drink Redcon MRE beef protien shakes, no whey or lactose.

Those are great numbers for your age these days. You must have a pretty good diet as well.

After going through my first divorce at 31, my test was at 250. I wasn't taking care of myself at all at that time. I got on trt in 2016 and will never get off of it! It helps with far more than just testosterone. There are so many places that do it now. Don't go through a regular doctor though, they are completely ignorant to it. Find a good men's clinic or a functional medicine specialist. I prefer the latter. They can help in many ways beyond regular trt and keep you from getting on prescription drugs.
