What\'s the experience out there with parts back-orders?

Waiting on some parts for my 2000 Blue/Silver 'busa repair. Right fairing, tank, muffler, etc. several things are back ordered. How long should I expect to wait? Can I do anything if the wait drags on?

Save cash on the right (brake lever side) muffler. I have one off a 2000 busa.
make me an offer.

tHERE ARE SEVERAL THING YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW WE ARE WAITING FOR THE SAME PARTS.YOu can get your parts person to check when they will be relsesed I believe it is 2 weeks.
The other is you can have them order it MOOSE with cost 10-20% more and you go to the top of the list and it comes red label.

our parts manager called and they gave us a relese date.remember that ours is on MOOSE regular order my be longer.
