Video recorder question

I am going to get a digital video recorder to mount on my bike.

Was wondering if anyone had suggestions on the best brand and what type of technical things I should have included in the recorder?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you mean a digital camera? If so, and you plan on sharing the footage from it, please pick one up with image stabilization. There are plenty of videos out there but the shaking of the camera make the loose their appeal. Look at the Canon line of camcorders.

I've been researching the same thing and I've gotten several Canon recommendations.

Canon ZR500 or ZR700 MiniDV Camcorders look like they'll work pretty good.
