108 DBs of illegal speeding and some curious passers-by!

Here are some pics. Let me know if you have any questions about setup/installation. I am proud, afterall - mostly of my wiring, which you can't see, of course.

* Notice Screamer High/Mute/Low switch mounted to the right of safety lights switch on left clutch lever assembly.

Nice setup!

Why screamer? When it goes off, don't you think it will be loud enough for a pig to hear you screamin' by?

What about using this product? What makes you go with screamer set up rather this one?

Thanks!

Can't see your pics, but looks like you are talking about a laser jammer. That is actually something else I would like to add, in addition to the detector. The jammer will block laser guns from zapping me. The detector just tells me I have a ticket. :)

The screamer is just an external speaker so I don't have to use an earbud (cuz you can't hear the detector's speaker). The H.A.R.D heads-up type display is nice, but not what I wanted.

I guess I am a little concerned about being discovered, but I usually know when I am around a cop - can always mute it.

Can't see your pics

Edited my post with bunch of url links.

I think its nifty idea to go with some kind of visual aid inside the helmet which the leds will go off if the detectors detect something.

Like this,

This is where I got the HARD system and the clear case you see that holds my V1,

To bad this eq wasn't with me when I got a 104 in a 65 and my DL suspended till Sept of this year.

Here is a link to the HARD system...Legal Speeding v2

Note the remote display also mounted under the PUIG DB screen... A little inginuity and a dremel go a long way...

I am using an ESCORT Solo 2 with a device called the MIXit2. The radar detector is cordless and the Mixit2 is a device that allows you to plug in 4 seperate audio sources that you can hear in your headphones at the same time. Example GPS, MP3, Radar deyector etc etc When you are listening to your mp3 player in the headphones and the radar detector goes off the music automatically mutes. I have all of this mounted in my removeable tank bag and when I get off the bike it all comes with me! Very good simple products! If you want more info, let me know! Here are some pics

If anyone is interested in a screamer to go with their radar detector, I have one still in the package, never been used in my desk drawer. I can't remember what I paid for it but $35 and it's yours!

Dude that it sweet!!

I gotta look into that, but I have the HARD system now, but having it mute my MP3 player when my V1 goes off could prove benificial.

I looked into the hard system before i did the system i have now
this seems a lot less cumbersome and instantaneous
you can really hear this sucker go off well even at high speeds!
does the hard setup take up a lot of interior helmet space?
is there lag time from wjen the detector goes off until the light flashes?

None at all, it's INSTANT, they designed the reciever of the HARD system very thin, I think it's like maybe 1/4" thick or barely over that if any... It's designed to actually fit inside your helmet padding, On my Aria it fits underneath inside of the right side cheek pad. On my Shoei I actually positioned it inside of the foam part of the right side cheek pad. I barely feel the difference when I first put it on and just cut a very small home in the front part so I can turn the reciever on and off...

I'll get some pics of it and show it to you, Just give me a couple of days ok...
