My lil girl is 15.
Honour roll at school all the time.A+ student.
Black belt,Tae Kwon Do.
Plays sax,flute,clarinet,drums.
Studying jazz and ballet.
Speaking French,wants to learn Japanese.
She's in the advanced program at school (tuffer classes,higher learning)
She joined the Canadian Scottish Regiment,a couple months ago and by the looks of these pics has already been promoted twice(will know 4sure 2morrow).
Could bore you some more,but wont.

I gotta do a little bragging too but first a little background. Our youngest son was hospitalized at 6 months old with seizures. The docs told us to make funeral plans as he would never leave the hospital. A little over a week later, we took him home with a diagnosis of Infantile Spasms and were told at the time that 98% of the time children with this disorder had to be institutionalized due to mental impairments. We lived with that for several years when he was re-diagnosed with Landau Kleffner Syndrome and prognosis of him being deaf/mute by the time he was 7 but otherwise un-impaired. We started learning sign language but when further symptoms never developed, he was again tested. This time he was diagnosed with a form of Autism, PDD-NOS and when he went into the first grade he had about a 7-10 word vocabulary.

Now the bragging:
He is a high school freshman in general education classes and is an A/B student.
He participates in after school Special Olympics and his basketball team qualified for state.
He also participates in soccer (Forward) and will start soft ball in July.
He is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
He is the Treasurer for the Japanese Culture Club at his high school.
He is teaching himself Japanese and will take Chinese as a sophomore.
This past Tuesday we received an e-mail from his English teach congratulating David on passing the TAKS test without accommodations. (TAKS is the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills which is a standardized test used in Texas primary and secondary schools to assess students' attainment of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies skills required under Texas education standards.)

He is a great many things and has already accomplished more than most people will ever understand, but most of all his is my son and I love him.

As for our David, I seldom see it all written out like that. He's just our Dave and the Center of the Known Universe. But a humble one. He has the purest, sweetest and most giving personality of anyone I've every known.

Now for the other 2 kids.

Elise is 22 and is now living on her own.
She has an amazing singing voice.
Has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do
Will soon be starting manager training at her job at IKEA
Doesn't smoke, do drugs or spend time with the wrong kind of people and drinks only seldom.

Drew is 20
He'll be getting his associates degree this summer
Lives at home but pays for his own tuition and books
Is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do
Doesn't smoke, drink, do drugs or spend time with the wrong kind of people

They've faced their own set of struggles which could have easily have beaten a lot of other people. But the made it through to face bright futures.

Took the boy on his first time riding a lawn mower that we picked up for $50 at a yard sale.
