Personally, I think the majority of the athletes are regular people - just with more money than most people. The average 2nd string guy makes more than the average white color person out there, but his career is only 10 years long or so and they don't have the endorsements nor the post-pro career opportunities the stars do. But all we hear about are the 1st round super stars who have more money than some small African nations and don't live in the same reality as the rest of the world.
