Yes, this is me on my Yamaha XS-11 in 1981! That bike was the king for a few years, especially with NOS and 1207cc kit!

Did the 1/4 fairing come from the factory ?

The bike does have a driveshaft (extra heavy S&W rear shocks and gusseted swingarm helped a lot). The 1/4 fairing was aftermarket. Besides 1207 kit, NOS (hidden bottle, when armed, horn button activated it), porting, cams, it also had 36mm flatslides. In the early 80's it ran 139mph @ about 10.7 as I remember. Surprised many CBX's, GS 1000's and KZ 1000's both in straightline and in twisties!
(I have a t shirt that says "the older I get, the better I was!") It was an amazing scooter though. Below is the only other pic I think I have of it....after I took it down to the frame and put it back together, circa about 1984 (similar to the black Busa Superbyke I'm doing now.) Doyle
