maybe i missed the post but i havent seen or heard this until now for sure. i was at the dealer today picking up brake pads and was talking about a bike that was in service so i asked since i have an 02 about the starter deal and he said if i want it replaced it is a recall no matter what the circumstances. if you got it new, used or have 100k miles, broke or not. if you want it done they will do it no charge. if im behind, forget i posted this but take it for what its worth. mines getting done next tues

peace Tim

it is not a recall so no you will not find one for it. it is something on the order of case by case I forgot the letters but it is a service bulliten not a recall

I wish they would just go ahead and make it officially a recall and get it over with...Mines OK for now but I think about that damn thing everytime I crank it up.

my dealer is replacing them at the customers request so i guess they are treating it like a recall for people who know about it

I'm gonna give my dealer a call, but I seriously doubt anything will come of it. I could rant about this but I won't even bother to waste my breath or give myself finger cramps.

I had mine done 2 months ago. The dealer told me I you are under warr., or have the ext. warr., it will be covered by one of them.
If you have neither, Suzuki cover,s the part,s, and the dealer covers the labor. Either way, I shouldn,t cost you a dime.
