I am looking for a nice tank bag that goes well with the busa. I want a mid-sized tank bag for 1 to 3 hour trips. I'm in need of a good price, durability. The dealer prices appeared too high for me. I don't care to much for saddlebags because they take away from the sportiness of the busa. Just my opinion. I want to get all my aftermarket goodies during the winter so I can return next spring prepared. My doublebubble is still in the package.

Thanks,

Hey Soja1, check Ranger's board. A couple of weeks ago there was a similar discussion and some very good information was exchanged. Try this:

http://server3.ezboard.com/fhayabusadiscussiongeneral.showMessage?topicID=47.topic

If it doesn't work, go to "http://welcome.to/Hayabusa-Online" -> "Online Boards" -> "General" discussion, page "4", topic "Magnetic Tank Bag".

I have a Marsee 20 litre that works great. It's well thought out with good materials and zippers. I believe Vegasdude recommended it to me. Basic black is the only color.

Thanks slowhand and coco:

I will take a peek at both options, but I'm leaning more toward the description of slowhands tank bag. I am willing to pay the cost to be the boss. The busa deserves it.

Thanks again

I picked up a Joe Rocket tank bag.It is a multi tier design. At its smallest you can use it as a map cover at its largest you can pack for a week!3 piece with back pack capability. If your looking for something just for day trips Kawabuser has a really nice looking setup that also doubles as a full tank bra.

www.chaseharper.com I bought 1 of the magnetic bags that also has optional clasps. Been riding that thing for about 9000miles, over 185 lotta times with the clasps. For under 100mph the magnets work. If theres nothing in it, it's pretty compact. It opens way up to put a lot of stuff if you want. I like it. Mine has a triple mount quick release system. With just front mounts the bag sucks up in the air when going high speed. The back mount is easy to open when gassing up. When I get out of the house I'll check the model#. It's like 0 outside .

Soja 1, I had several tank bags but none seemed to do justice to the Busa. I finally ran across a German "Buse" magnetic that looked the part and had some great features. It has very strong magnets and long flaps so it won't slide around. You can actually lean on it and it won't move. Has several external pockets and a velcro tab which secures the flaps if you want to carry it off the bike. Front has a nylon hook on an adjustable strap which hooks over the tank lip. You open the flaps, snap the hook over the tank edge and pull back and down on the flaps. Tight and secure. In size I would call it medium/large. I found mine at Chaparral. They have a mail order ad in most bike mags. Don't remember the exact price but it was over $100. Has a quality look and feel, and has attracted attention because of it. Lots of smaller/cheaper stuff around if that's not what you want.
