When the busa debuted there was much debate about it's looks and while I think it's a handsome purposeful looking motorcycle, it's not in the same league (looks wise) as a 916, '69 bonnie or Laverda 750 sfc.Good find but i'm confused about your signature. I could have sworn that the busa is one of the most beautiful machines ever made. Oh wait, I know. You meant to type ZX14. Right? RIGHT??![]()
+1I don't think that was the front-end tucking, it was the rear sliding. He's hard on the throttle at corner exits - pretty cool.
Geezzzzzz, interesting observations, but I wasn't talking about his sliding the rear. I was talking about the shot showing the front end with the suspention bottomed out and the tires initial slide to the outside while still in the extreme lean. It's something a person at his level could enjoy, but it show the extreme limits while he's riding.+1I don't think that was the front-end tucking, it was the rear sliding. Yep. It's a pretty common MotoGP (as well as Superbike technique) style. Just spinning up the rear, steering it with the rear, and controlling it by modulating the throttle. That is something I'll be learning more in depth with Jason Pridmore's STAR racing school next year.
The twitching you see when Mamola is at mid-corner could be due to improper suspension settings and is magnified when he goes over variations of the track pavement. The Busa is trying to compensate and recover by rebounding, thus the twitching.
