Siren like noise

Hi All,

I just bought a Busa, it;s a 2003 model with almost 13k Miles on it.
This is my first bike of this class, I need your guidance on one of thing I notice.

Today, when I parked the bike, I heard a constant low siren(maybe buzzer) like sound from the bike. It sounded like it was coming from fuel tank or below it.
Can you help me understand what that may imply.

That was defiantly not the sound that bike makes, when in neutral.

Was the key on? If so it may just be the fuel pump...

ignition off and buzzing lift the tank and see what you got under there. New to you used bike might as well get her naked and and do a little inspection. spliced wires missing bolts. I bought mine used from a dealer and when I took the plastics off was a bunch of blots. Only 1 bolt on the back side of the gas tank.

If you have a vent blocked, the fuel cap will suck air. Or, there was another issue that caused a busa to "whistle". It was a minor adjustment to take care of it. I cant remember what the issue was. Do a search, "Why does my bike whistle" and you might be able to find it.
