Can Anyone explain to me what short stacking is and the Small Air Box Mod is...

not sure how and what they are/do.

Sorry for my ignorance

The small airbox mod is removing the flapper from the airbox. It gets rid of some turbulance and restriction which lets the bike breath better and generate more HP at high RPM at the expense of losing some low end torque.

Short stacking is replacing the 2 long intake tubes from the air box to the TB with short tubes. Same effect as the air box mod. More HP up top, less torque down low.

(kawiboy11 @ Dec. 18 2006,18:27) So you gain HP, but you lose torque?

Yep. The constant trade off. It depends on what you want to do with the bike. For the street, the stock setup is a good compromise. For the track, you want more up top and don't mind losing a little from the bottom to get it.
