Rear Camera Installed In Undertail

I'm working on my first Busa project, Black '04 Limited Edition. I have installed rear view cameras and monitors on other bikes but as I took a close look at the Busa, there is not a lot of room to play with. Finally decided to tighten the nuts up and drill a hole in the center of the undertail. It's actually the perfect spot for the cam, in order to get that center rear view. I mounted the cam with silicone to allow a little vibration dampening. Turned out pretty slick.

Nice idea! I would like to see how the monitors on the bike are mounted and also how the picture looks. From the photos you posted, it looks as if the camera would be pointed too far downward, especially if you are sitting on the bike.

I got pretty much the same camera system mounted on my bike. I decided to fab an aluminum license plate bracket to hold the camera and drill a small hole for the wire to come through the undertail. Didnt want to drill the fairing in case I didnt like the camera system or wanted to change it over to another bike in the future. Got pics of it in my garage photos

They make license plate bracket cams. The whole thing is a buck twenty at advance auto. Includes monitor.

Nice job

Simply put, Im a gadget guy. I just prefer the camera setup. It's not replacement for head turning and checking blind spots, for sure still do that.

Lol, sorry bro. I'll update as soon as the undertail is installed, holidays have me out of the garage for a good minute.

Sorry it took so long to put up pictures. Here you go
