Question About Lights

What is the little "FI" light for on the dash? I suppose it is for fuel injection, but why would there be a light for that??

Only thing I know about that light is if it comes on shutdown the engine... restart if the light is still on take it to shop. If light doesn't come on after restart ride it straight the shop and let them know it came on....

According to page 3-9 of your owners manual, it will come on indicating anything from a minor problem to a catastrophic failure of your fuel injection system. sometimes it will blink and sometimes it will stay lit. When it stays lit your bike will not start. Hope this helps

Only problem is......I don't have an owners maunual. I bought the bike used. It is an 03 sil/grey. Does anyone here have an extra manual that they would be willing to part with?

It is for 99-2000 but for the most part it should be the same for all years with some minor changes.
