Anyone ever had an air leak around the bead of the tire ? It lost 10 pounds of air in a week . Around 13,000 miles on the tire . This pisses me off !

Just take it to a shop and have them check it...mark the tire where the leak is and have it dismounted to see why it is not sealing properly.

I am tomorrow .....the rims / tires were bought and mounted by the Toyota/Scion dealer and I even bought an extended warranty on them .....for 4 years & unlimited miles . But why would it leak now , for no reason ?

This happens very frequently. I worked at a Discount Tire when I was in highschool and we saw it alot with low profile tires. Best thing to do is bust down the beads and have bead sealer applied to them. Any tire place will be able to do this. Plus, it's VERY common for aluminum wheels to corrode at the bead surface and this will help that too.

Could be a defect in the tire..could also be a dirty spot on the rim that the new rubber sealed.

Did you figure this out? Should have been an easy fix

On the mid 90's f-bodies (95-98) some rims had an issue with leaking in the middle of the rim. Actual fix action was to put a silicon substance on the rim to keep the air from leaking out. So maybe you have a defective rim? Just another option. You didn't bend one did you?

All they did was deflate the tire ...put on some bead sealer and send me on my way. We'll see how long this lasts .

Should work pretty good. It's common for aluminum wheels
