Ok so somebody start a thread about the upcoming race so nobody forgets.

Greyhound2002 vs LankeeYankee

Rules and other stuff can be posted in that thread. Been awhile since we've had an online challenge.

No way it will be forgotten or die. Already have leave approved from June -July and quite a few coming with me for the trip. I feel like a kid at Christmas. I knew nightmare would be needed for this trip LOL. A few were talking about some drag racing while out there. Every year we go out and spend 2-3 days enjoying the ride. This year we get to do it at someone else's expense. Life is good

Last one I remember seeing was Tuf calling out Yankee but that never went anywhere. I think I'm seeing a pattern.

I have to disagree. Although I dont have slips and stats I have a very supple ass and it told me there was a difference when I removed the restrictions. It wasn't a giant difference but it was notable and I noticed it. And no it wasn't the kind off difference you think you feel after changing your oil. Just my own experience.

That is sick for a SWB busa. I wonder how much it is lowered and what rear tire he is running.

I went a 1.59 on mine swb, and im a bigger guy. Usually I was 1.61-1.64. I have seen several passes from multiple bikes go 1.5's. Just saying.
For people trying to sand bag in bracket racing, it won't work if you have a guy that runs spot on and has a good reaction. It might work if u don't have any competition to talk about. That part Lankey is right about. According to his time slips he would have you loaded and going home in round one, of course I would do the same racing you on a scooter. :D

You are exactly correct Stevo reaction times on the tree is where this game starts. Perfect example first round tonight of eliminations. Man this street bike could 60' 1.47's Bking if I am not mistaken never seen the guy before, I think he had Virgina tags on his trailer :dunno:. Unfortuntely he couldnt cut a light (reaction time) but he sure did look cool along with all the other stretched out street bikes until 1st round.
Boiling it all down
My .048 reaction time to his .315 already gave me a .267 to my advantage which is a lot considering I can judge within .015 on the big end if I need to stay in it or let out.
So doing the numbers, I dialed in a slooooooow 7.28 which now allows me to run .267 off my dial in which would be 7.54 and still win...
Well going down the track I checked out at 3/4 track and knew no way was he going to win this light so guess what PUMPED HIS ASS!! to coast through the finish line with an easy win.....
Now thats bracket racing!:beerchug:

And for all you saying well you were running 7.32's last week tonight it picked up .020 and about .35-50 MPH due to the inHg was up at 30.26

I think the point some are making is you are running like 2 secs and 20 mph slower than similar bikes which must seem pretty slow and boring.

Doesn't anyone race the 1/4 mile anymore? :dunno:

In certain parts of the country it is very limited for 1/4 mile tracks. I think Montgomery is the only 1/4 in the whole state for Alabama! I will drive 25 minutes longer to go there though over the closer 1/8 mile.

The 2 dragstrips within 20 miles of my house are 1/8 mile tracks. If I want 1/4 I have a 70 mile trip.
I like 1/8 mile over 1/4 since its half the abuse. IMO 1/8 is more of a challenge in bracket racing.

Isn't most of the abuse from the launch?
