Power Commander or ECU Flash?

:eh:It has been awhile since I have been here, but the site looks good....Now my question:

I have an 06 with 19000+ miles. I have made some minor mods: K&N Filter, VooDoo slip-ons exhaust, and a de-restrictor (boost by smith.com). Now while around around 3500rpm @ speeds less than 40mph; she sputters and pops like she is running rich. I have no problem when I run the 1/4 mile or the @ the track, only when I am running at low speeds in the city. It is also killing my fuel consumption when I cruise through the city.

What do you recommend?

I didn't think so either. I always run 93.

I don't get higher than 93 around here. And for US models, minimum of 87 is required. Still leaves me lost for an answer.

Popping, do you mean like a backfire ? Do you still have the pair valve ?

Gen I, or Gen II ? The Gen II's can't run 87 can they ?

I think Gen 2 is 91 oct.

minimum recommended is 87 and up, my bike would pop when you released the throttle when I ran premium fuel. Bike stopped popping and ran better with 87
