Got this Cycle Pump Air Compressor (click on Tire Tools and Things, and then scroll down) a short time ago.
Can't say anything about reliability (everything looks top quality though) as I had it for just a week. But, it's small and works great.
I managed to fit it in the tail trunk of my bike. And, the pump is pretty powerful - in my test, I upped my rear pressure from 36 psi to 42 psi in less than a minute.
I also attached cigarette lighter adaptor to my battery, so I can connect different appliances, including this pump.
It's a bit pricey ($80), but I figure it's going to serve me for years to come. Be it a flat tire, or a track day.
Oh, I learned about this pump from "Motorcyclist" magazine. They recommend it.
The keychain tire gauge right above the pump is also good. I'be been using it for years.
