Poor old Busa\'s

Actually KA, they ARE using the same engineers, but you see that's also the fatal flaw in their sceme. Missile guys tend to make things BLOW UP when they reach top speed...

I guess that explains the fatal high speed wobble. Could you imagine what would happen without the wings, kinda scary.............

I believe the HSW is the arming mechanism interfering with the stabilizing gyros, I'm afraid that until they can work out this interference problem, it will be difficult to achieve critical mass. HOWEVER, the new busa ray I've installed on Dirty Pete's Paris Dakar unit will be able to cut the two offending units apart thereby producing the explosion the engineers are looking for.

*Special note to all riders on ZX-12s, be sure to sit on your helmet will riding…

Maui:

I don't take it personally if you make fun of my screen name. I think it is ridiculous too. As for victim I was treating the "spin" comment.

Kawabuser

On another thread you noted that no Honda owners come here to "spew". I own a Honda. I know how much you love to argue but do you really want to have a nonsensical exchange about which engineers are in the wind tunnel for each project? The sad thing is you probably do. I don’t think Kawasaki is going to tell us who was in there but I will ask when I call about my check.

BTW Kawabuser what are you going to do when the first mag says the 12 is the fastest production motorcycle in the world and you are in second place? You will probably start hyperventilating pass out and wet your skirt. Kawasaki did not even give you one full year of glory. Hahahahahahahahahahaha

In a funny sort of way, I like your style Ninjaknight. I too, believe the 12 will raise the bar ever so slightly. Nothing will ever do it like the busa did, but the 12 will demonstrate its superiority thru the stock to stock numbers. I believe it will out drag, out turn, and outrun the busa. In the end the differences will not reveal themselves on the street and it will come down to which one floats your boat the best.

I ride a Busa not a magazine, so jump back on your magazine (rag) and tell me more of your non existant bike.

How many Hayabusa's have you embarrassed today, sure your day may come but it is not this day. LOL

I read where the zx-12 showed 170rwhp "stock".(stock)

But You Know What?

Boring.....ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz

BE GONE FOOL

ninjaknight, while your statements have assuredly been amusing, i only have one thing to point out. you said that "shame the busa won't even have a full year of dominance" or something to that effect. actually, if i'm not mistaken, the zx-12r will not be out for approx 3 more months. that my fine sir means i will have had my busa for 1 year. also, the tests on the busa were performed more than a year ago. so, we did get it for at least a year. i say at least, cuz til one is on the street, proves to me that it is faster, i still have the fastest production bike on the planet. but you know what? i don't care. i hope the 12r does beat the busa. cuz i'd rather hear all the bragging and boasting from all the 12r people than to hear all the whining. cuz, boy if that 12r doesn't beat the busa, boy what water will flow from the eyes of all 12r advocates. but i will be happy to know that for the extra cash that they have to spend on the 12r, i could do a lot to the busa. like the old saying goes, "how fast do you wanna go? how much money you got?" nuff said.

Maui:

I am sure that the zx-12 will be a tank slapper because I heard the rumor here I would never argue with you guys because you are the professionals. I also agree with your logic. They make helicopters, jet trainers, missiles and they own the biggest and most advanced air tunnels in Japan. They are so incompetent that Boeing outsourcers a couple of 700 series jet bodies to them for finishing and R&D. I am sure that making a fairing for a motorcycle that goes 200mph is beyond their capabilities. You should all start writing to your congressmen now to have this dangerous motorcycle banned before someone gets hurt!

Why would I want the ZX-12 banned?? Its gonna be really funny to watch the ZX-12. Would you like to know why? The ZX-12 is gonna be like the most incredible geyhound racer the world has ever seen. It will run every race ahead of all the other "dogs" and smoke them like there is no tomorrow. Wanna know why?? Cause that stupid dog runs every race like he could actually CATCH the rabbit or in this case, the falcon. (catching my breath from laughing) And eventually he will be retired and put to sleep having never caught that falcon. Sucks dude. I sympathize.

Funny how one post can generate so many replies.
I know how much owning a busa means to each and every one of us.
1, IT's fast
2, Better than that It's very comfortable
3, It not only handles well but it's very civilized even in the most extreme knee smoking corners.
4, the fit and finish are excellent.
I have owned almost every ninja made since my 1984 zx9.
not one was as civilized as the busa, including the zx11d and 1999 zx9.
Throw them into a a corner with a wash board surface and see how well they are designed by your space engineers. next get into the back wash from a tracter trailer rig
@ about a 100 and see how stable your zx11d or zx9 is. After you have cleaned your shorts, you can then get on a busa and really enjoy the ride, any way you like.
It took just one ride on a busa for me to swap the 1999 zx9 in.
As to the rocket engineers, they had a lotta chances to fix the ninja's, but then most lepards don't usually change thier spots.
so enjoy the magazine ride and we'll reserve judgement for when the zx12 gets here.

talk about board names,
my old lady can suck start a harley,
give any meaning to B. J. ?

Falcons, greyhounds, rabbits, blackpanthers......sounds like someone has been watching too much Animal Planet.

You are right nobody is going to catch you now that you have your "stealth switches" on the busa! Didn't Wonder Woman have those switches on her jet? Hahahahahaha you guys are priceless!

I don't usually don't even open threads that are clearly flame-a-thons because they usually end up pissing me off to the point where I shake, but this one is almost reasonable. I just read this thread tonight so forgive my lag. (loading my flame thrower with bubble bath)

"Ninjaknight
Could you be more specific, is there test report on the aerodynamic stability of that bike? Just curious, I don't want to read about how good their missiles are, just their bikes."

I'd add to that, Maui, Kawasaki's Ninjas are missiles :-)

"Heavy Industries makes missiles and owns a windtunnel. Fact
Honda makes automobiles, motorcycles, lawnmowers and snowblowers. Fact
Suzuki makes motorcycles, one of which is the worlds fastest production motorcycle. Fact
Your reference that the same engineers which design missiles and other hi tech products, are being reassigned to design a puke green fairing with "wings". Ninja you must be lacking blood to the brain on a HiFlow day, I am glad you have wings."

I would add to that, Suzuki makes the Samurai too. Powered by a chain saw engine and easily tipped over. Be proud of that too.

On a serious note.

Someone said the delivery date of the ZX12 in Canada is Jan 15, 00. Looking forward to it.

I own a 1200cc Ninja ZX11 and if it wasn't 30*F outside I'd be riding it, no magazine here. I have 42 mm milled down Honda Blackbird carbs (+10hp), 2 mm bore, 5 mm Falicon stroker, Carrie Andrew cleaned up head, undercut trans, KnN, Muzzy and the rest (what's left) is stock. It flat out hauls. I have a set of Web cams and a used NOS kit that I'd like to put on this winter. I can imagine how the new 12 will run.

Chill out!!

The 12 isn't here, but it will be.

The Busa started out as a rumor too except it was supposed to be a 1500.

The Blackbird never really caused a stink because in some magazines it was 1mph faster and in others it was 2mph slower.

I think in the end it will be determined with the RADAR gun. I feel pretty certain that the 12 will be quicker and faster. Personally I'm looking forward to a short wheelbase 160+hp superbike. I'd feel just like Doug Chandler. See you on the expressway.

Jamie

PS Lyle, when you get your bike let's ride sometime. Anyone else near Harrisburg Pennsylvania?

Its always the same routine, a smattering of busa guys at the ZX12 site. Followed by a passing 12 advocate at org. Thank God I say. As a consumer I now have 2 ungodly fast and capable machines to choose from. Which one you choose is up to you.
