PC 3r Help please

I have the opportunity to purchase a Power Commander IIIr for a very reduced price. I have tried it out on my bike and have a problem. When I start the bike holding the 3 buttons in the PC reacts fine allowing me to mod each of the ranges. Then I stop and in about 30-45 sec the display of all 3 ranges goes to the bottom and my FI light comes on. I don't know if it is losing the map or just not in working order. The PC is a little banged up looking but all the wires and and connectors seem fine. Any ideas about it? Other than return it ASAP?

When you say reduced price, did it come out of a mishap? No telling what is going on inside looking at the connector outside...
What did it do on the bike it came off of?

Did it come with the software dvd? I would recommed trying to hook up to it and download a basic map and not just use the buttons. If someting is wrong you might be able to figure it out with the software or computer connection.

You can get the software free from the site,load the correct map and see what happens.
