Paint touch up.

I've got some paint damage to the left hand fairing and I want to fix it but the predicament is this. I plan on a whole paint job this winter so I don't want to spend the three hundred dollars to get the little stuff fixed now. The fairing itself is in good shape, no cracks, just needs a little bit of sanding. I was wondering if anybody had any luck with buying touch up paint and fixing it up themselves. I've got a little bit of painting experience, but nothing on the scale of whole cars or bikes. Thanks

If your going to have the bike repainted soon, don't worry about fixing the minor stuff now.......
If you don't do the prep work right for this fix it could lead to problems later on down the road when your having the whole thing fixed.
