My father has always told me you can't outrun a Motorola.

I've come to realize, he's right. (Much as I hate to admit it).

However, you can out RIDE a Motorola. Those Crown Vic's are heavy beasts, not designed to obtain the highest G rating on the skidpad.

Unless there's a city somewhere that has 1 squad car for every square block a Motorola ain't gonna do shid against a Busa.
Twist the throttle and within mere seconds you're a distant memory to the cop behind you. Once out of sight it's time to turn on to a different street, then another and another.

The idiots that get caught in those police chase videos always stay on the main roads or hit highways with one off ramp every 10 miles.

That video was a good lesson though...never know when you're being watched! Instead of going home, I'd go to a large shopping mall, ditch the gear in a rental locker and then hang out for a while. If cops aren't swarming your bike within 20 minutes, odds are a helicopter wasn't spying on you.
If they are, then it's time to call a friend and have him pick you up at the other side of the mall. Later in the day when your friend drops you off at your house and the cops are waiting for you, it's time to play dumb...Huh? Aww damn, someone musta stolen my bike! Is it ok? Did they wreck it?

Then pray none of the video cameras at the mall got a good look at your face.

That final part could get you into a lot more trouble than it's worth for just the ticket
