That person on the liter bike that got by you must have been thinking "what the heck" when you blew by him and then left him in the dust...

Awesome video and great to see you are still ripping up the track on that beastie....

You are the standard when it comes to anyone knocking the Hayabusa as a capable bike on the track.....

Have you done any upgrades to your bike lately?

And for the viewing public, what upgrades have you done to make your bike so potent? I know a few of them but not all...

No bikes exactly the same as last year.
It's got ohlins suspension
brembo brake calipers, discs and master cylinder
Dymag wheels
Ally sub frame
Yoshimura exhaust and ecu setup with air filter
Plus lots of titanium bolts and anything else can do to lighten it .

It's definitely getting the job done and making all us other Hayabusa riders look good....

It must weigh in at under 500lbs wet....

You should turn on your signal lights when you pass these guys.....LOL!

Nice to see someone who uses his hayabusa in a different way than dragstrips and highway rides.
Good ride… well done mate. Nice setup on the bike as well. Very good brakes, good suspension and the best tires. Very promising for more track days.
What brake pads do you have? If not, you should try the Brembo Z04 some time.
Is that a 520 chain and is that a Dynojet quickshifter? How those the qs behave?

Hi thanks. I use the z04 pads they are incredible compared to anything else I've used, the other pads I've used I can't get a full trackday out of them, the z04 last for ages never fad and have great stopping power.
No I'm using a 530 chain.
It's a cordona quick shifter, works really well.
Over all the whole bike setup now is really good the only issue I have is ground clearance both sides but just can't get around that really.

You must be in pretty good shape to wrestle the big 'ol brute around the track like that...

When I raced I was on a very light GSXR and even then I was wore out after a race....

Back in those days, wheels were still made from stone...and those Gsxrs were Busa heavy...

lmao
My Gixxer was a feather compared to my Bumblebee....I think it weighed bit over 400lbs wet...and around 130hp in race tune.

...and I ran Bridgestone radials....we weren't allowed to run slicks in our class.

I still remember the races held in the very hot, humid days.....it was a good weight loss program....

Tbh especially round that track it is physical, I'm only 11stone but do lots of press ups and stuff to try and keep stong for riding it, it is a challenge but that's what makes it so fun to ride I think.
Just love the hayabusa it has something special about it.

nice set up dude, your braking setup is a real strength, and the suspension is set up really well as your able to get on the power really early, and nice riding. I've seen a few busa's on track and all of them have been slow, takes alot of balls to ride that hard with a road reg bike. i used to ride a 600 track bike an a 1000 road bike on the track and i know the busa is on a knife edge with the weight disadvantage excellent vid.

I think the corner exit torque is addictive...

Even out on the backroads I have found a few chicanes worthy of some race tracks....one of them is a complex right and left corner and it slopes up hill (or down depending on your travel direction) and I've had the front tire in the air coming over the hill exiting the right hander...basically making the final adjustments on the rear tire...

It makes me feel young....

P.S. what's 11 stone equate to?

Other than a few things our two bikes are similar in their set up...

I went to Progressive suspension instead of Ohlins (I'm cheap) and was going to go with Moto Composites for a full Carbon Fiber fairing set up but the price was too much for me to justify...I ended up getting the signal light pods as my originals developed a bubble in the paint.

I recently found my Bazzaz tuner was acting up so I took it off leaving me with a stock tune even though my ECU is flashed...I guess that's next as I find the bike isn't the same on the stock maps.

I have HEL lines, Brembo MC/calipers, EBC light weight rotors and pads....

I have used your video many times to shut up people who say the Hayabusa is only good on a drag strip....

I was going to ask how you overcame the low clearance, but from this post, I guess you didn't. I tracked my stock gen 3 and scraped my pegs, muffler guard, and a bit of front fairing.

Do you think the upgraded suspension/fork setup helped at all?

I'm also a few more stone than you, so you probably get a few more degrees than I did.
