I have a 08 busa and after looking for the o2 sensor wires I found a jumper plug at the connector. Why do they do this and doesn't it mess up the fuel mixture?

would apreciate some advice

If it came on the bike that way from the factory, I would say it should be there. :welcome:

yes a factory looking plug in the 4 wire connector that should go to a o2 sensor. It has a short wire in the connector that just loops around to jump 2 of the pins.

this is probably a gen2 bike?
they all had 02 sensors I am pretty sure.. someone also probably pulled the PAIR system off and then installed the resistor in the sensor connector to keep the FI light from coming on..

I would rather have the o2 system working myself... helps the a/f during cruise etc.. (bypasses at WOT)

Sounds like you have an aftermarket exhaust and pc. My O2 was pulled and a jumper installed when my exhaust was installed prior to delivery.
